 A school pick-up feud has been re-ignited after neighbours took a stand against 'inconsiderate' parents, and made a roadblock out of deckchairs. Fed-up residents are at war against parents parking selfishly on the school run by blocking their drives in Bridgend, Wales. The long-running battle flared after families living on the cul-de-sac say their street is 'carnage' at pick-up times – and the new term has reignited the row. It reached a head when mums on the estate made a road barricade out of deckchairs in January last year to stop the traffic chaos. Police have now been forced to patrol Lon Derw street just yards from Brynmenyn Primary School. He said: 'We've been dealing with this issue since I moved here in 2018, and there is still no solution to the problem. 'It's really causing residents to suffer now and we think something has to be done. 'The housing estate is a small cul-de-sac with one road in and one road out, but because there is nowhere to park, parents come into the estate and park wherever they can. 'It can be carnage out there at times, with dozens of cars lining the pavements and roads, blocking people into their drive-ways, and causing tensions to flare. 'Obviously it's very stressful to the people who live here when they can't get in or out of their properties, but to have this amount of traffic coming into a small estate like this is unsafe for the children and pedestrians as well.
