Workers at San Francisco Walgreens have revealed customers must go to them in order to unlock the thick metal locks which contain frozen microwaveable meals and ice cream
A San Francisco Walgreens has been forced to lock freezers with chains after the store is robbed a staggering twenty times a day.
Footage posted online shows the doors to frozen microwaveable meals being held shut by huge thick metal chains which are secured with metal locks.
Workers at the store have revealed this has been enforced due to shoplifters stealing pizza and ice cream from their freezers every night. Thieves then target the store and fill their bags with stolen goods up to twenty times a day.
Store employees said customers must go to a worker inside the store in order to unlock the display and buy the products which include shaving cream, hair dye, makeup, and over-the-counter medicine.
