Mohamed Salah has been criticised after scoring a brace in Liverpool’s win at Tottenham with Vincent Aboubaker doubling down on his views of the Egyptian superstar
Vincent Aboubakar has claimed the only thing that separates himself and Mohamed Salah is that the Liverpool star has the opportunity to play for a “big club”.
This isn’t the first time that the Cameroonian has slammed Salah after the Egyptian scored twice for the Reds in their 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday. The 30-year-old was praised heavily for his performance as Liverpool recorded their first Premier League away win of the campaign at the sixth attempt.
However, Aboubakar, who plays in Saudi Arabia for Al Nassr, isn’t having any of it and doesn’t believe Salah deserves all the plaudits he’s getting. Aboubakar says he “can do” what Salah does and added that he doesn’t “give a toss” if people don’t listen to his opinion on the ex-Roma man.
He told 90FootballFr, as relayed by the Daily Mail : “I’m not impressed by him. I can do what he does. I just don’t have the opportunity to play in a big club. I understand people’s attitudes, he’s one of the best goalscorers in the Premier League. It makes sense that when you go on about a player like that, people will talk.
