 The five remaining members of S Club have said new song These Are the Days is a 'really emotional celebration' of late member Paul Cattermole. The British pop group enjoyed chart success as a seven-piece between 1999 and 2003 and had announced a nationwide reunion tour with the original line-up. However, Cattermole died suddenly in April, aged 46, shortly after the tour was confirmed, leaving the band's fans and remaining members devastated. Group member Hannah Spearitt, who had been in a relationship with Cattermole from 2001 to 2006, then backed out of the upcoming tour for personal reasons. Despite Hannah's May departure, Rachel Stevens, Bradley McIntosh, Jon Lee, Jo O'Meara, and Tina Barrett entered the studio for the first time in 20 years. New song These Are the Days was released on Wednesday and S Club have paid tribute to Cattermole, calling it a 'celebration' of his time with the band. 'It's become a celebration of looking back and celebrating the fact that we have all those memories on film with him,' he added, reflecting on their friendship. Despite their success in music, S Club were originally formed to star in a TV series where they played fictional versions of themselves, visiting American locations.
