Ryanair runs 500 flights weekly from Scotland

Ryanair has launched its largest ever winter schedule from Scotland.

The airline said it will run more than 500 flights a week to 68 destinations between November and the end of March. That includes new routes from Edinburgh to London, Grenoble in France, Santiago in Spain and Verona in Italy. The carrier said its activities in Scotland, where 12 of its aircraft are based, indirectly support 1,900 jobs.

The bulk of the new schedule will be run out of Edinburgh Airport where Ryanair has a base. However, it will be returning to 2019 levels of activity at both Glasgow and Prestwick Airports with about 45 weekly flights from each.
