Russian missiles hit Poland killing two

Poland’s prime minister called an urgent meeting of the national security committee to address the ‘crisis situation’

Stray Russian missiles landed in Poland on Tuesday, killing two people on Nato territory, the US has confirmed.

Mateusz Morawiecki, the Polish prime minister, called an emergency meeting of the country’s national security committee to address the “crisis situation”.

Local reports said two people died in an explosion in the village of Przewodow, close to the border with Ukraine.

The blast occurred just before 4pm local time, at the same time Moscow launched a significant missile barrage at Lviv, Ukraine’s most western city.
