NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT
England 29-30 Argentina
Eddie Jones promised England have plenty of time to fix their problems before next year’s World Cup after starting the autumn with a humbling 30-29 home defeat to Argentina.
The Pumas halted a ten-match losing run in the fixture dating back to 2009 with only their second ever Twickenham victory after Emiliano Boffelli’s winning penalty in the 70th minute.
The sides meet again in their first game of the World Cup but Jones does not see it as a marker ahead of tougher autumn games with New Zealand and world champions South Africa.
