Royal author blasts Prince Harry as Duke ‘not treated like a spare’

The Royal Family is bracing for Prince Harry’s new memoir set to be published on January 10. Penguin Random House revealed the book will be titled “Spare”, raising concerns about the content of the book. Royal biographer Angela Levin pushed back against the suggestion that Harry was viewed or treated like a spare when he was still a working royal. She told GB News’ host Nana Akua: “He wasn’t treated like a spare. He was incredibly popular, the most popular next to the Queen. “Because he was mischievous because he was fun. He was very lively.”William’s got a much harder life because it is so demanding to be a King and to be an heir.”  Angela Levin said Prince Harry was ‘not treated’ like a spare in the Royal Family (Image: GETTY TWITTER/@GBNEWS ) Angela Levin said Prince William’s life was harder than Prince Harry’s (Image: TWITTER/@GBNEWS)The royal author said: “He has got what he wanted. He has got freedom as much as he likes, he has got a woman he absolutely adores, he has got children.”He has got 16 bathrooms. It is really astonishing that he cannot say anything good despite having lots and lots of therapy.”Angela Levin added that if Prince Harry is publishing the book “purely” for financial reasons, “then it is absolutely more shocking”. She said: “He should have come to a border where he said: ‘I’m not going further’.”READ MORE: GB news host tears into Harry over memoir after abandoning the UK GB News host Nana Akua and Angela Levin discussed the title of Prince Harry’s upcoming memoir (Image: TWITTER/@GBNEWS) The ‘spare’ is considered to be Prince Harry while Prince William is the ‘heir’ to the throne (Image: GETTY)”I think you should protect your family even if you fall out with them,” Ms Levin said.”You do not want to tell the world all the nasty details of how people are because no parent is perfect.”And I wonder how his children are going to react to the fact they have never known his father’s family”, Ms Levin said, suggesting Harry would burn bridges with the Royal Family with the memoir. After the Queen’s death in early September, speculation swirled around what Prince Harry would do with his memoir, with some royal commentators suggesting he could either ditch or edit some parts of it. DON’T MISS:Palace ‘on tenterhooks’ as Harry poised to blindside Firm with book [REPORT]  Meghan and Harry will be ‘happy to snap up’ coronation appearance [REPORT]  US star talks ‘working’ with Meghan after ‘overplaying her hand’ claim [REPORT]   Prince Harry could end his relationship with the Royal Family with the memoir, Ms Levin suggested (Image: GETTY)The Penguin Random House put an end to rumours, confirming the “intimate and heartfelt” book is going ahead and will be published in early January with an audiobook read by the author. The book will include his full account covering Harry’s dedication to military service, his decision to give up royal duties, his move to the US with his wife Meghan and the joy he found at being a husband and a father. With the proceeds from the book, Prince Harry will donate $1.5million (around £1.3million) to Sentebale, an organisation he founded with Prince Seeiso in their mothers’ legacies, which supports vulnerable children and young people in the AIDS-stricken southern African countries of Lesotho and Botswana. The Duke of Sussex is also expected to support the non-profit organisation WellChild with a donation of £300,000.READ NEXT:Fears Harry’s book will stop reconciliationPrince Harry’s book ‘bound to distress’ Royal Family ‘Reduced in the sales!’ GB News host blasts Prince Harry’s memoirPrince Harry memoir torn apart by Steph McGovernMeghan and Harry offered more than what they paid for Montecito home
