Roy Keane aims light-hearted “no respect” dig at Man City star after similar Arsenal blast

Roy Keane was left somewhat unhappy with Manchester City after one of their players committed something he has previously criticised the Arsenal squad for doing

Roy Keane has joked that Manchester City star Cole Palmer has “no respect” for his manager Pep Guardiola.

Academy product Palmer scored a stunning goal to put his side in front in the Community Shield on Sunday, though Arsenal would equalise in the 10th minute of stoppage time before winning on penalties. City’s goalscorer was put up for interview after the match as Arsenal celebrated.

And after being asked about his goal, Palmer called Guardiola by his first name, rather than by the traditional ‘gaffer’. He told ITV Sport: “It was very close, obviously conceded in the last minute but that’s football.

“We have to pick ourselves up and go again. When I received the ball, Walks said ‘Get at him’ and Pep told me to be myself so when I’ve come inside, I’ve just seen the far corner and it went in.
