Ronnie O’Sullivan ‘feels like there’s a plot’ allowing him to keep winning

NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

Ronnie O’Sullivan says he feels imposter syndrome as he keeps winning big titles at 46 years old, even suggesting there is a plot to help him stay at the top of snooker.

Obviously that is not the case, but the Rocket does continue to outwit Father Time, having won the Hong Kong Masters and Champion of Champions already this season, after claiming his seventh World Championship title in May.

He kept up winning ways on Monday as he beat Matthew Stevens 6-2 in the last 32 of the UK Championship in York and aired his insecurities over still being world number one when he turns 47 next month.

‘I shouldn’t even be playing at my age, really. You look at [Stephen] Hendry, [Steve] Davis, all them guys. So I don’t take it too seriously, I find it quite funny really,’ O’Sullivan told the BBC after beating Stevens.
