The cause of death of Robert De Niro’s grandson, Leandro De Niro Rodriguez has been confirmed by New York City’s Chief Medical Examiner after the 19-year-old died last month
Robert De Niro’s grandson Leandro De Niro Rodriguez died of a drug overdose it has been confirmed.
A chief medical examiner has revealed the 19-year-old died from a lethal combination of drugs, including fentanyl and Xanax.
According to TMZ, the medical examiner in New York City says the teen passed away from the toxic effects of a number of drugs. They included fentanyl, bromazolam, alprazolam, 7-aminoclonazepam, ketamine, and cocaine. The examiner went on to say Leandro’s death will be ruled as an accidental overdose.
The official verdict lines up with what Leandro’s mother Drena De Niro had said previously on social media. Several weeks ago she claimed: “Someone sold him fentanyl laced pills that they knew were laced yet still sold them to him so for all these people still f***ing around selling and buying this s***, my son is gone forever.”
