Rights deal is a hit with investors

Investors gave a warm welcome to news that London-listed One Media IP Group had bought the licenser’s income share of the Entertain ME catalogue of more than 15,000 songs.

The company said the catalogue, which covers songs from the 1940s to the 1970s from artists such as Dean Martin, Gloria Gaynor, James Brown and Judy Garland would provide an instant boost to revenue. Shares in One Media rose 13.6 per cent, or 0.75p, to close at 6.25p after the announcement, valuing the company at £14 million.
