Details of the siblings' care situation were revealed during trials which saw Gibson convicted of murder and attempted rape and Corrigan of attempting to defeat the ends of justice and breach of the peace. Now, MailOnline has quoted a source from their extended biological family who claim social workers from South Lanarkshire Council would not allow them to stay with their maternal grandparents – Mr and Mrs Adams. The unnamed relative said: 'The social work department has blood on its hands. It put an enormous financial strain on the Adams, when they had the kids, but they were offered no help.
