Red-bellied black snake ‘enters I’m A Celebrity camp’ ahead of launch show

The Australian rainforest has shown what it can offer after a venomous snake entered the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! camp on the eve of its launch show.

The hugely-popular ITV programme, co-hosted by Geordie duo Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, returns to its spiritual home of the jungle after two years at Gwrych Castle in north Wales.

The 22nd series of the show hits out screens at 9pm on Sunday, November 6 as 12 celebrities swap their comfortable lives in the UK for bushtucker trials, Dingo Dollar challenges and basic rations in the Australian rainforest.

However, there was an extra guest earlier this week when a red-bellied black snake, which are commonly found on the east coast of Australia, was inches away from the head of a member of the crew during rehearsals.
