Rasmus Hojlund ‘liked’ Manchester United’s post showing Erik ten Hag greeting new signing Andre Onana – as speculation over the Atalanta striker’s future intensified
Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund has already made it clear he wants to join Manchester United this summer and his latest social media activity has reaffirmed his desire to move to Old Trafford.
United are ramping up their pursuit of Denmark international Hojlund. The Red Devils are intent on signing a new central striker this summer following the expiration of Wout Weghorst’s loan arrangement â leaving Anthony Martial as the only recognised senior player in that position, with the Frenchman’s future at Old Trafford unclear.
Speaking back in January, Hojlund revealed his preference for joining United: “Now that you ask, I will not hide the fact that I am a huge Manchester United fan. So personally, it would be one of the biggest things for me, but of course, that doesn’t mean that I would turn down other big clubs if the offers come at some point.”
It is believed that the player’s representatives and United are on the same page and personal terms will be no problem. The major stumbling block for a deal being processed is the two clubs striking an agreement on a fee â with the English club hopeful Atalanta will drastically reduce their £86million asking price.
