A lucky Shropshire wildlife photographer hid for hours on a farm to capture the rare images of the natural world and described the tiny animals as a “sight to behold”
Rarely seen pictures show a female glowworm using her bioluminescent body to attract a male.
Wildlife photographer Andrew Fusek Peters spent hours crouching in a cramped hide to capture the remarkable images.
They were taken on Monday (July 11) evening on farmland in Long Mynd, Shropshire.
Glowworms emit a bioluminescent green glow to attract a mate within their grassland habitats.
