Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Varane, a veteran of four Champions League successes with Real Madrid, proclaimed United can win the competition this season. 'Yes, I think so. The quality is in the squad,' Varane said. 'This competition is difficult. You have to take care of every detail but we have a team with quality, with a good mentality and we have to make some improvements. 'It's not the start of the season we expected but I still believe we have the quality enough to compete with the best teams in the world.' 'It is all individuals, you recognise they are internationals, top players,' he told ESPN. 'But it is up to ten Hag to find the chemistry to make sure they can work together. It is hard to understand why those talented players cannot work together. 'Last year it was already a thing, Rashford was so outstanding last season and was saving United from maybe a bad result to win because of his talent and his pace and capability of changing results.
