Queen’s cousin meets with students in New York

Prince Richard, 78, is connected to over 150 charities and organisations with a number of patronages reflecting his interests including humanitarian issues, military veterans, and heritage. On Wednesday, His Royal Highness visited Lehman College of the City University of New York to meet scholarship students.The students received the scholarships from the St George’s Society of New York, of which the Duke of Gloucester is patron.According to the Royal Family’s Twitter account: ‘HRH visited New York this week as Patron of @sgs_ny, a charity that provides a range of assistance to people in need of support in the city.’The St George’s society was founded in 1770 and provides key support to people in New York City.The society thanked the Duke for his attendance and said on Twitter that ‘it was an honour hosting our Royal Patron’. Very busy time.’
