Although their love affair was short-lived, Mr Burke spoke very fondly of his former flame, who went on to become Queen, saying in autobiography Jessica Jayne's biography: The Duchess of Cornwall her story and secrets: "It was the best fun, and I had the best and most fun partner you could possibly wish for. Camilla was immensely popular and although she wasn't a beauty, she was attractive and sexy. "I remained with Camilla all that year. I suppose we were in love and then she ditched me. Why? Well, the short answer is that she was having a ball in London." The news comes as King Charles officially started his summer holiday at Balmoral today ahead of a crucial summit with the Prince and Princess of Wales. He was officially welcomed to his Scottish Highlands estate in a small ceremony outside the castle gates, carrying on the tradition from his late mother the Queen, who died at Balmoral last year. Dressed in his traditional kilt, Charles inspected a Guard of Honour formed by the Balaklava Company, 5th Battalion the Royal Regiment of Scotland, under the command of Major Robert Weir.
