Queen Camilla heartbreak as her ‘first love’ Kevin Burke tragically dies aged 77

Kevin Burke, said to be Queen Camilla’s first love she met at a party in 1965, has died, with his family asking for donations to be made to the British Heart Foundation

Queen Camilla’s first love Kevin Burke has died at the age of 77, it has been reported.

Mr Burke is understood to have died earlier this month, of an unknown cause, although his family asked for donations be made to the British Heart Foundation. Camilla met Kevin at a party in Knightsbridge in 1965 and enjoyed a short lived love affair.

Later in life he married advertising executive Peta Baker, which lasted for 14 years and ended in 2001. He wed former head-hunter Luisa Fairey, and became a father for the first time at 58. Mr Burke’s funeral will be held next month.

Although their love affair was short-lived, Mr Burke spoke very fondly of his former flame, who went on to become Queen, saying in autobiography Jessica Jayne’s biography: The Duchess of Cornwall her story and secrets: “It was the best fun, and I had the best and most fun partner you could possibly wish for. Camilla was immensely popular and although she wasn’t a beauty, she was attractive and sexy.
