Vladimir Putin’s attack dog Dmitri Medvedev appeared to urge his country to launch attacks on Ukrainian civilians following drone strikes on Moscow. The strikes – which struck two non-residential buildings in the Russian capital – were carried out by Ukraine , according to Kyiv’s Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov. He claimed there would be more strikes in the future. The explosions which rocked Moscow early Monday appear to be in retaliation for consistent Russian strikes on Odesa, one of which badly damaged the UNESCO-listed Transfiguration Cathedral there. However, Vladimir Putin’s ally Medvedev – enraged by the strikes against Moscow – called for Russian forces to go further by striking “non-standard targets” in Ukraine without elaborating on the nature of these targets. “This is why the Banderite b******* are increasingly choosing peaceful civilian targets for their despicable attacks. Everyone must be ready for this,” Medvedev raged on Telegram. Dmitri Medvedev (right) has called for more strikes against Ukraine. (Image: GETTY) The former Russian President continued: “We also need to select non-standard targets for our strikes, not just storage sites, energy hubs and oil bases. There are other places where nobody would be expecting us and where strikes would have a widely felt impact.” Medvedev, who has been outspoken in his calls for escalation of the war, appeared to be urging more attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure in Ukraine . The comments come amid drone strikes in Kyiv overnight. All of the UAVs, according to Ukraine , were shot down. Russia also struck a cathedral in Odesa on Sunday, something the Kremlin denied. ‘Our armed forces never strike at social infrastructure facilities, let alone temples, churches and other similar facilities, so we do not accept such accusations, this is an absolute lie,’ Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said. A five-bell alarm was sounded earlier this month when Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed that Russia had planted explosives on the roof of the reactor for unknown reasons. The nuclear powerplant – Europe’s largest – has been on the frontlines for much of the war on the left bank of the Dnipro River just opposite Ukrainian forces.
