Vladimir Putin has observed a series of new nuclear drills carried out by Russian forces.
State media broadcast a security meeting in which the Kremlin leader can be seen watching military exercises unfold on screen.
The drill is said to imitate ‘a massive nuclear strike in response to an enemy nuclear strike.’
According to reports, similar nuclear exercises take place yearly in Russia.
