Comedian Russell Brand faces more accusations of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse following the Channel 4 Dispatches documentary, but is being supported by a number of high-profile stars
Russell Brand returned to social media on Friday to give an updated statement as he continues to deny accusations of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse.
In his speech posted on Instagram, the comedian, 48, spoke out about the claims made in the Dispatches documentary, in which he was branded a ‘devil’, a ‘groomer’ and a ‘narcissist’ by his alleged victims. And his latest statement was well supported by a number of his followers, including Pussycat Dolls singer Jessica Sutta.
The musician took to the comments of the comic – who is also known as Rusty Rockets – and wrote: “We support you!!!” She was far from the only person to offer their support in the comments section, with Alexis Ren sharing the same message.
In his clip, Russell said: “Hello there you awakening wonders, obviously, it’s been an extraordinary and distressing week and I thank you very much for your support and for questioning the information you’ve been presented with. By now, you’re probably aware that the British government have asked big tech platforms to censor our online content.
