Entitled The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR, it's described as a 'fast-paced roller coaster action-horror-shooter' (just like the studio's Until Dawn VR spin-off) that runs through all the settings from the other Dark Pictures entries like Little Hope and the upcoming The Devil In Me. It won't be a launch game for the headset, though, and is scheduled to arrive in the spring. The new VR headset from Sony is out in three months, with only a few games and a massive price tag.
While Sony never provided an exact release date for its next VR headset, the PlayStation VR 2, it did say it was aiming for an early 2023 launch.
Now, in typical Sony fashion, the company has casually dropped the news that VR enthusiasts will only need to wait another three months for the headset to launch on February 22.
That’s the good news, the bad news, however, is its price. A standard headset, which comes bundled with the new Sense controllers and a pair of stereo headphones, will cost £529.99.
For comparison’s sake, that’s £50 more expensive than the standard PlayStation 5, following Sony’s August price hike which saw it go up from £449.99 to £479.99.
