PSG ready to outbid Bayern in race to sign Harry Kane

Paris Saint-Germain will move to sign Harry Kane this summer if they can be sure that the England captain would be prepared to leave Tottenham Hotspur for the French champions.

PSG’s interest in Kane is independent of Kylian Mbappe’s future at the club, with the striker seen as either a replacement or an attacking foil for their leading goalscorer.

Kane, who turns 30 next week, has a year remaining on his Tottenham contract. While Daniel Levy is hoping to persuade Kane to agree a new deal – with a three-season, double-your-money contract proposed – the Spurs chairman will not countenance the forward leaving the club as a free agent.
