"Sony just saved countless relationships with this," one gamer wrote on Twitter. Another wrote: "12-year-olds can finally play Fortnite at 2am without worrying about waking up the entire house now." In a PlayStation Blog post, the company said the option will let users 'mute or adjust the volume of the PlayStation 5's beep sound when turning it on or off, or putting it in rest mode.' While the feature is currently still in beta mode - meaning Sony is trialling it with a handful of PS5 owners - it will be rolled out to all users in an upcoming update. If you're a beta tester and want to switch the feature on, just follow these steps: Go to [Settings] > [System] > [Beep Sound]. To adjust the beep sound volume, select [Volume]. To mute the beep sound, turn on [Mute Beep Sound]. The date of the upcoming update is yet to be confirmed.
