 In an adorable update, Jonnie Irwin has shared a major family milestone as his son heads to school for the first time. The A Place in the Sun presenter has been in full dad mode to his three children since sharing his cancer diagnosis last November. Jonnie, 49, revealed his lung cancer spread to his brain and became terminal but is determined to make plenty of memories with his young family. Over the summer holidays, the little ones have been treated to days out at wildlife parks and family picnics in the sunshine. The holidays are now over and eldest son Rex, four, who he shares with his wife Jessica Holmes, is heading to school. 'First day of school. I'm so proud of him I could burst x,' wrote Jonnie on his Instagram, where he has kept fans updated on their adventures. One commenter wrote: 'It's an emotional day first day at school Have a fantastic day x.' 'He's like his Dad !!! proud Papa moment,' said another while someone else added: 'He looks so smart! Hope he had the best day xx.' Jonnie also has two-year-old twins Rafa and Cormac, all of whom he recently treated to a Jurassic jungle-themed home makeover complete with tents and toys. The presenter is yet to tell his children about his diagnosis, previously admitting it would be 'horrible news that they'd have to get their head around'.
