Priscilla Presley says there will ‘never be another Elvis’ in emotional tribute to her ex

Priscilla Presley, who married Elvis in 1967 after a seven-year-long courtship, has paid tribute to her late ex-husband on the 46th anniversary of his tragic and sudden death

Priscilla Presley has shared an emotional message of remembrance for her late ex-husband Elvis Presley, with her saying that there will “never be another Elvis” on the 46th anniversary of his passing.

The King of Rock and Roll died suddenly on August 16 in 1977 at his famous Graceland estate at the age of 42. At the time Elvis was not married, with him getting divorced from Priscilla four years earlier. The couple courted for seven years before marrying in 1967. They then separated in February 1972, with divorce proceedings finalised in October 1973.

But despite the couple’s divorce, Priscilla, 78, has continued to speak positively of her late ex, with her previously saying: “I loved Elvis very much as he loved me.” The statement was released to E! News earlier this year, where she added that their late daughter Lisa Marie, who died on January 12 this year, was a result of their love.
