Princess Anne looks stoic at Remembrance Festival with King and Queen

The Princess Royal joined other senior royals in honouring those killed in conflict (Image: Getty)Princess Anne has joined the rest of the Royal Family at the annual Festival of Remembrance in central London, following the marking of Remembrance Day on Friday.The Princess Royal, 72, joined King Charles III and Camilla, Queen Consort, for the Royal British Legion at the Royal Albert Hall. It’s the first event since the death of her mother, Queen Elizabeth II, in September.She was accompanied by her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence.Also honouring those who lost their lives in service of Britain and the Commonwealth were the Prince and Princess of Wales, as well as the Earl and Countess of Wessex. Senior royals attended the event (Image: PA)The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, The Duke of Kent and Princess Alexandra also represented the Royal Family in the commemorative event, which coincides with the 40th anniversary of the Falklands War.The event honouring those killed in conflict began at 2pm, with the second performance taking place at 7pm.The Festival of Remembrance also paid tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II’s historic 70-year reign, and her role as patron of the Royal British Legion.The royals were met by the President of the Royal Albert Hall, Ian McCullogh, and Lieutenant General James Bashall, who heads up the Royal British Legion.
