Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix film, which touches on a parent dying in a car crash as well as themes of mental health issues, could upset brother William, an expert has claimed
Prince Harry’s new Netflix film could upset his big brother William as he “mines family” for content, an expert has claimed.
The Duke of Sussex and his wife Meghan Markle, who stepped back from the Royal Family in 2020 and moved stateside to Montecito, California, have bought the rights to a best-selling book, with the couple set to produce it for Netflix for their next career move.
Reports claim that the couple spent an eyewatering £3m for the rights of Meet Me At The Lake, a romance novel by Carley Fortune. The book depicts a couple in their 30s who fall in love, with themes displayed throughout of mental health, post-natal depression, and childhood trauma of losing a parent in a car crash.
Many have picked up on how the book shares some striking similarities with the couple’s own life experiences, such as Prince Harry’s mother dying in a car crash in 1997, and how Meghan has previously spoken of post-natal depression.
