Prince Harry’s eco-tourism project fails to mention him after undergoing major revamp

Prince Harry had been the face of eco-tourism firm Travalyst since 2019 when the non-profit organisation was first launched – but was omitted from being mentioned when Travalyst entered an ‘incredibly exciting’ era earlier this year

Prince Harry’s sustainable tourism project failed to mention him in a major announcement after undergoing a revamp.

London-based non-profit Travalyst was launched by Harry in 2019 when he and wife Meghan Markle were still working royals. It aimed to make tourism and travel more eco-friendly and sustainable by bringing major travel firms such as TripAdvisor and Skyscanner together.

Harry was the face of the project, despite admitting to taking private jets, and even appeared in a cringe video to promote the campaign last year, where he proudly wore a T-shirt with the words ‘Girl Dad’ on it. However, it has now emerged that earlier this year in May, Travalyst made a major announcement, where it revealed its transition from a “pilot phase” to a new board of five people with “world-class expertise” – with no mention of Harry.

In addition, Harry is only mentioned in recent press releases by the project in the “about us” blurb at the bottom of the release. This is in comparison to releases from 2022, where Harry was mentioned prominently at the top of the text. However, according to Newsweek, Harry is still committed to the project and is in regular contact with the Travalyst chief executive and board.
