Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could “reinvent themselves” as a Hollywood “power couple” after indications the US public is beginning to tire of them, Paul Burrell, Princess Diana ‘s confidante, has claimed. The Sussexes have rarely been out of the public eye in recent months, with Harry releasing Spare, his no-holds-barred memoir, and the pair also releasing their explosive Netflix documentary series. However, Mr Burrell warned the couple that the appetite for their antics also appeared to be waning across the Atlantic, suggesting they needed to find a new direction. And he even tipped Meghan to make a sensational move into US politics. Don’t underestimate Meghan, she’s ambitious. And what if she became Governor of California and lords it over Hollywood ? “It’s not so far-fetched because they have to keep going on, they have to keep reinventing themselves because if they don’t, that brand is going to disappear, the Sussex brand will disappear. “The King has been very kind to Harry and Meghan because he loves Harry. He’s his son and he hasn’t taken their titles away. “I mean, there are many people that would say their titles should be stripped from them because they’re no longer working Royals.” Should Meghan opt to try for elected office, she would not be the first actor to seek the Governorship of the so-called Golden State, Mr Burrell pointed out, with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Ronald Reagan both serving in the role in the past.
