The PlayStation 5 may be due to enjoy its third Christmas this year but thanks to the pandemic it still feels very new, and it's never really seen a discount from its intimidating £479.99 price tag. Or at least it hasn't until this week, with Prime Day offering a 16% discount on the PlayStation 5 and God Of War Ragnarök hardware bundle. That might not sound like much but given how expensive the console is that still works out as £86 off – which given the game alone is £70 means you get it free and a bit more on top. As long as it's still in stock you can get the deal here, with Amazon also offering a number of tempting bargains for various PlayStation 4 and 5 games this week. The PlayStation 5 is by far the most successful format of the current generation, with around 40 million consoles sold – roughly double that of its rival the Xbox Series X and S. It can run both PlayStation 4 and 5 games, and most of the time if you buy the PlayStation 4 version you can get a free upgrade to the next gen version – although some do require a small fee. God Of War Ragnarök is one of the most acclaimed PlayStation exclusives but there's also the likes of Marvel's Spider-Man, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, Horizon Forbidden West, and Gran Turismo 7. As well as PlayStation 5-only titles Demon's Souls, Returnal, and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. The Xbox Series X isn't in the Prime Day sale, but the less powerful Xbox Series S is.
