The new Cardiff store will also be Poundland's "biggest-ever" store in Wales. The new store will be located at Valegate Retail Park on Copthorne Way. Alongside its usual products, the store will also offer the "widest range of Pep clothing" found in any Poundland store in the UK. The retailer's new Dartmouth store is one of Poundland's smaller sites and will be based at 13 Victoria Road. Its Teignmouth store will also be smaller than Cardiff and Pontefract and will be based in the former fashion retailer's M&Co site on 7 Bank Street. Commenting on the openings, Poundland director of retail, Darren Kay, said: 'We can't wait to open our doors in Pontefract, Cardiff, Dartmouth and Teignmouth and we know from talking to customers that shoppers are looking forward to the opening of our new store. We're working hard to make sure our new stores will be a cracking example of the breadth of what we can offer in a convenient location. And just like all our stores, it will offer amazing value to customers looking to make their money go further.' Another brand new Poundland store will be opening in Ryde on the Isle of Wight on September 23. The new premises – located less than 100 metres from the current Isle of Wight Poundland – has been empty since M&Co closed back in April.
