Police ramp up patrols in Oxford Street in response to TikTok crime spree threat

NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

Police vans and mounted officers have moved into position in Oxford Street after a TikTok video urging criminals to target the area went viral.

The Met Police is bracing itself for a potential crime spree in the popular central London hotspot in response to the social media clip threatening a ‘robbery’ at JD Sports.

In the widely shared post, yobs have been encouraged to don a ‘bally and gloves’ in a poster which said: ‘Don’t come if you can’t run.’

It also warned ‘don’t bring any weapons’ and told people to carry out the crimewave at 3pm on Wednesday, August 9.
