Mauricio Pochettino is still hoping for new additions before the end of the summer transfer window, as the Chelsea boss continues his major overhaul at Stamford Bridge
Mauricio Pochettino is pushing to bring in four more players before the summer transfer window closes.
The Argentine has overseen a hectic window since taking over at Chelsea at the start of July. Fourteen first-team players have departed Stamford Bridge, either permanently or on loan, as Pochettino conducts a major overhaul following a wretched campaign for the Blues.
Seven players have arrived in their place, though boss Pochettino is keen to add to his squad before the end of the window. He has been charged with restoring Chelsea’s place in the Champions League, after they finished in the bottom half of the table last term.
To match those expectations, Pochettino believes he still needs four more signings before the summer is up. According to the Daily Mail, the Chelsea boss is expecting all of those targets to arrive at Stamford Bridge.
