It is believed Mr Salamone has not sustained life-threatening injuries (Image: Instagram/ @teamsalamone)A car collector known for cultivating flashy supercars has been injured after his bright pink Lamborghini crashed and burst into flames, according to new reports.American collector Bryan Salamone was reportedly travelling in a pink Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster when he lost control of the vehicle, thought to be worth in the region of £300,000.Local news outlet Patch.com reported a collision between two Lamborghinis on Sunday morning on the Long Island Expressway, a major road in the state of New York.The accident involved a 2021 Lamborghini which subsequently caught fire after veering into the centre of the carriageway, the outlet said.The Melville Volunteer Fire Department said they were alerted to the situation at the expressway shortly before 11am.In a post to their Facebook page, they described arriving to “one fully involved vehicle” before the blaze was “fully extinguished”, posting a image of a a destroyed section of what appears to be a pink vehicle.
