A pilot and flight attendant have revealed exactly what happens if you die on a plane including whether or not your journey will be delayed and where they store the body
It’s not the cheeriest of subjects to think about or discuss but every now and again someone does die while travelling on a plane. This usually has nothing to do with the actual journey itself but rather the result of a medical emergency or old age. Either way, it’s terribly sad and upsetting for everyone involved.
If you’ve ever sat and pondered your death and what might happen if you do pass away on a flight, then read on as a commercial pilot has revealed everything. Discussing the answer in the Newark Advertiser, the flyer admitted that although it was something every flight crew was trained for they hoped they never had to experience.
They said: “The cabin crew would move them to the most respectful place possible. On a long-haul flight that would probably be one of the crew bunks, or into a spare row of seats. If that’s not possible, they would have to cover them with a blanket. We would continue to the flight’s intended destination.”
