Piers Morgan swipes celebs ‘will come crawling back’ to Musk’s Twitte

Piers Morgan, 57, has slammed the ‘ridiculous’ reactions of many celebrities to Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter, which has prompted some stars to quit the social media platform due to the Tesla businessman’s plan to charge users £17 per month for blue ticks to prove they are verified. It comes after commentator Tristan Snell compared the purchase of Twitter by Elon Musk to the invasion of Ukraine by Putin.Piers, in a recent article for the New York Post, said his comments were beyond ‘ultra-woke.’He fumed: ‘I’m wearily used to insane statements from the ultra-woke brigade, but this was something else.’A supposedly intelligent man was genuinely comparing the purchase of a social media platform by a maverick free speech-loving billionaire to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s illegal and barbaric invasion of a sovereign democratic country.’Snell’s hysterical response came in response to the predictable blizzard of left-wing celebrities and pundits throwing their toys out of the stroller and announcing they were quitting Twitter in protest at Musk’s new ownership, including WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley and former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean.READ MORE: Jeremy Clarkson left baffled over Britons fury after UK ‘nightmare’ Piers Morgan spoke about people’s reaction to Elon Musk buying twitter (Image: GETTY) Elon Musk’s Twitter takeover caused a reaction (Image: getty) Elon Musk recently bought twitter (Image: TWITTER) Elon Musk recently bought Twitter (Image: GETTY)Elon completed his $44bn (£37.9bn) takeover of Twitter on Friday, renaming himself as “Chief Twit” on his profile. The billionaire’s purchase of the site has been controversial, leaving many worrying about the changes he plans to make to the social media platform. This morning, Bradley took to Twitter to warn about the takeover in view of his 480,700 followers. ‘Entitled bats**t billionaires in charge of the public square is the opposite of freedom and a recipe for disaster,’ he wrote. DON’T MISS…Strictly’s Tess Daly distracts viewers as fans call for ‘replacement’ [STRICTLY]Emily Atack flaunts her buxom bikini body in her sexiest snaps yet [PICS]Kurt Russell shows off slimmed down figure at food and wine event [HOLLYWOOD]This evening, Piers, who only recently defended Elon, slammed the star in view of his 7.9 million followers. Piers wrote: ‘As opposed to entitled bats**t actors who – unlike @elonmusk – think any views that challenge their own woke-ravaged self-righteous rantings warrant instant cancellation? ‘Put your rattle back in your illiberal stroller, you big baby,’ he added. On Thursday, April 14, Elon Musk announced an offer to buy Twitter for $54.20 a share.
