The former Good Morning Britain presenter was clearly in a playful mood on Tuesday night as he ambled up to mild manner TV star Dermot and appeared to try to engage him in a fight ahead of the glitzy awards
Piers Morgan was clearly in a competitive mood as he arrived at the National Television Awards on Tuesday night – and jokingly ambled for a fight with Dermot O’Leary.
The 58-year-old broadcaster was in high spirits as he arrived on the red carpet at London’s O2 Arena ahead of the 2023 NTAs and clamped eyes on 50-year-old presenter Dermot. The talkshow star dashed over to meet the fellow celebrity when he raised his fists as though angling for a fight.
Piers was gurning as he flexed his biceps and raised his clenched hand in a mock threatening manner. However, This Morning star Dermot looked far from concerned as he stood in front of the older presenter and flashed a smile and looked relaxed while wearing a well tailored suit.
Piers will have one fight on his hands during Tuesday night’s ceremony, however, as he is one of the nominees. His show, Piers Morgan Uncensored, which airs on the Rupert Murdock owned TalkTV network, has been put forward for the best TV Interview award. Since the show launched in April last year, Piers has sat down for major chats with political figures including former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, current British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
