Moving tributes as singer’s family ask mourners wishing pay their respects to line the street in Bray, Co Wicklow
Hundreds of people in Sinead O’Connor’s hometown have gathered to bid her farewell ahead of her funeral.
Fans are lining the seafront in Bray, Co Wicklow, on Tuesday morning as the acclaimed singer’s funeral cortege passed before a private burial.
The moving tribute comes after O’Connor’s family asked those who wished to say a “last goodbye” to stand along the Irish coastal road.
Handwritten notes have also been left outside her former home in the town, thanking her for sharing her voice and her music, with one note saying: “You are forever in my heart.”
