PGA Tour Netflix producer hints at huge drama

A Netflix series covering the whirlwind 2022 PGA Tour season is set to be released in the New Year, and producer Chad Mumm is getting fans excited already

The producer of Netflix ‘s PGA Tour series has hinted that the production is set to involve plenty of drama. The PGA Tour confirmed at the beginning of 2022 that Netflix was to cover the American-based circuit’s most recent campaign.

At the beginning of filming though, what was not expected was the saga the Tour found themselves in with new-found rivals the LIV Golf Series. In a year like no other, a number of the PGA Tour’s biggest names including Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnson dramatically ended their relationship with the circuit in order to join LIV.

The Tour’s commissioner Jay Monahan has also found himself in a constant verbal battle with LIV boss Greg Norman, with both sides seemingly unwilling to work alongside each other.

Following the drama, golf fans are no doubt anticipating an exciting Netflix watch, and producer Mumm has not disappointed with his hints. Golf social media figure Sam Harrop approached Mumm on Twitter to see if he had any news on the upcoming production.
