Peter Kay treats young terminal cancer fan to lunch following ‘bleak’ diagnosis

Comedian Peter Kay made a rare public appearance over the weekend as he took a woman living with terminal cancer for lunch in Lancashire, before she resumes radiotherapy

Peter Kay treated a young woman living with terminal cancer to lunch on Friday after she received a “bleak” diagnosis.

22-year-old Laura Nuttall from Barrowford, Lancashire, had her life turned upside down when she was given just 12 months to live in 2018. She has been battling stage four brain cancer ever since.

Laura and her mum, Nicola, were taken for a meal at a restaurant in Lancashire by Peter, before Laura resumes radiotherapy.

Nicola later took to Twitter to show her thanks to the 49-year-old comedian, who has been largely living out of the spotlight since 2017.
