The Red Dragons marksman’s goals meant he was able to spearhead the team’s push towards promotion back to League Two last season in a historic campaign for the club

Wrexham talisman Paul Mullin has revealed his favourite strike from his glorious spell in North Wales and gave an emotive explanation behind his choice.

The affable Liverpudlian endeared himself to the masses with his prolific eye for goal during the Red Dragons’ promotion-winning campaign last term. He notched a sublime 47 times as he provided the firepower that earned the Welsh outfit their return to the EFL after a 15 year absence.

His legacy at the historic club is very much already secure, with his famous goal in the 3-2 win over Notts Country helping the team to dispatch of their nearest challengers for the title late in the campaign. It cannot be overlooked that his exploits saw him earn the Golden Ball for the FA Cup at the end of the season after he notched nine times in the competition.

However, the 28-year-old has now identified his emphatic brace versus Boreham Wood as his favourite moment of Wrexham’s landmark season. This double in the 3-1 victory at the Racecourse Ground saw the Dragons get themselves over the line to win the National League.
