Paul addresses Fury’s UK demand to stage long-awaited grudge match

Jake Paul has accepted Tommy Fury’s demand to face him in the United Kingdom. The pair’s last fight in August was cancelled when Fury was denied entry to the United States and now the Brit has confirmed that he is still not allowed to cross the pond.Paul defeated former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva on Saturday in his sixth professional fight. When he took to the mic to call out his next opponent many expected Fury’s name to be reeled off after both men had seemingly verbally agreed to attempt to make their fight for a third time. However, Paul opted to call out MMA icon Nate Diaz and undisputed super-middleweight gloved champion Canelo Alvarez instead. A frustrated Fury appeared on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Hour attempting to goad Paul into accepting a UK showdown, claiming that he and Jake would sell ‘70,000 tickets’ in his home country. In response to Fury’s UK request, Paul – appearing just after Fury on the MMA hour – said: ‘Yeah, I love going to those crowds because they all boo me, and I shut them up. I like playing the role of the heel, especially in the UK.’ Jake Paul and Tommy Fury have had two dates fall through in the past (Image: MMA Hour)He added: ‘Yeah, there’s definitely interest, I think if his team is taking the financial risk and putting the event on then I’m cool. I just don’t want to take that risk because I think he’s going to back out again, most likely.’It’s an easy fight for me, the kid’s a novice, he’s never even fought anyone good, he’s never even had an eight-round fight, he doesn’t have the experience I have which is crazy to say because he’s been boxing his whole life.MORE BOXING NEWS…Joshua next opponent named as Hearn delivers promise with conditionsAndrew Tate delivers scathing response to latest Logan Paul call outTate admits to turning down Mayweather fight for key reason Jake Paul defeated Anderson Silva on Saturday (Image: GETTY)’But people call him a professional boxer and they respect him as a professional boxer, and I’d love to strip that title from him. I wouldn’t even have to train for that fight, I would still train because I’m a professional, but I wouldn’t have to train to beat him.’Paul vs Fury looks likely to happen down the line eventually.
