The dog owner’s Facebook page features numerous pictures of two of his massive dogs, including one of a child stood in front of them, and another where he boasts about their menacing appearance
The owner of two XL Bully dogs that mauled a dad to death bragged that he was “building a lion” before the attack, it can be revealed.
Aston Villa fan Ian Price, 52, was attacked by the crazed animals just yards from his family home on Thursday afternoon. He had been visiting his elderly mum, who lives opposite, when the dogs apparently escaped from the window of a neighbouring property.
Horrified neighbours heard Ian’s screams as the XL Bullies launched their savage attack, and eyewitnesses told how the dogs tore his clothes from his body as he tried to protect his mum. Ian, who ran a restoration business from the family home, was airlifted to hospital but sadly died from his injuries.
A 30-year-old man, from South Staffordshire, has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and being in charge of dogs dangerously out of control causing injury. He has since been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
