‘Other parents mum-shame me at the school gates

A woman who claims she gets ‘mum-shamed’ when dropping off and picking her kids up from school says she deliberately dresses in a way she knows will anger them, and doesn’t care about their dirty looks

Nobody should ever be judged on what they wear when they pick their kids up from school, but according to one mother, this is something she has to put up with on a regular basis. Fortunately, Katie Tradie doesn’t take criticism at the school gates to heart and claims she even deliberately dresses in a way that she knows full well will wind up her fellow parents.

The mum-of-three regularly shares “no filter” content via TikTok, where her 515.5K followers love her refreshingly honest take on motherhood. In a recent vid, Katie, who happily admits she’s still “winging it” three kids in, showed off her “new school pick up outfit”, remarking that she doesn’t think other parents with be all that keen on it.

Katie could be seen sporting a white sweater bearing the slogan, “Good mums say bad words”, accessorised with a casual beanie and a nose piercing. While dancing around defiantly to Eminem’s Without Me, she revealed, “Got my new school pick up outfit… #EndMotherShaming”. Unbothered by the apparently harsh judgement she’s received from other mums in the playground, Katie, who goes by the tongue-in-cheek username @s***_mums_club, declared that she intends to wear her new jumper “with pride”.
