Mortal Kombat 1’s leaked DLC roster has been officially confirmed, with John Cena and J.K. Simmons making lending their talents to the game
Mortal Kombat 1 has officially revealed the characters set to be included in the Kombat Pack following earlier leaks, there’s supposed to be six characters, but we can’t see one of them.
San Diego Comic Con took place over the weekend and we were treated to our first look at 11 new Mortal Kombat 1 Characters. Li Mei, Baraka, and Tanya were confirmed for the Mortal Kombat 1 Roster with a new trailer, followed by a con exclusive look at a story cutscene (which someone obviously filmed and posted online) which showed off the return Reiko and Motaro â neither of which have been explicitly confirmed to be playable, but Reiko had previously been leaked.
Netherrealm Studios also who we would be seeing as a part of the games first batch of DLC fighters. In line with the earlier Amazon Italy leak, we’ll be seeing Mortal Kombat’s Ermac, Quan Chi, and Takeda returning to the series via DLC, but three guest fighters: Invincible’s Omni-Man, The Boys’ Homelander, and DC’s Peacemaker will also be coming to the game post-launch.
It was later confirmed by Skybound (via IGN ) that J.K. Simmons will be voicing Omni-Man like he did in the Invincible animated series. While John Cena and Antony Starr haven’t been confirmed to voice Peacemaker and Homelander respectively, the character models bear their likenesses from the Peacemaker and The Boys live action series’, so it’s a safe bet to assume they will be voicing these characters â especially since Antony Starr recently reprised the role for Homelanders appearance in Warzone. Plus, if Netherrealm could get Sylvester Stallone and Peter Weller for Mortal Kombat 11, I’m sure they can get Cena and Starr.
