As the Premier League kicks off, there’s no stopping the dealmaker Damien O’Donohoe. The former chief operating officer of Live Nation Gaiety has helped pull together another big transaction.
I’m told that he was one of the key players in a deal that resulted in the YouTube sensations Dude Perfect becoming new investors of Burnley FC. For those aged over 15, Dude Perfect is an online wacky sports combo not unlike Johnny Knoxville and the Jackass crew from the days of MTV.
Dude Perfect, which holds the world record for the highest successful basketball shot, is the second-most popular YouTube sports channel, with close to 60 million subscribers.
