Novak Djokovic into fifth straight Wimbledon final with Jannik Sinner win

Novak Djokovic will have the chance to win his fifth straight Wimbledon title and his 24th Grand Slam on Sunday after overcoming Jannik Sinner in straight sets on Centre Court

Novak Djokovic will continue his quest for yet another Major title after breezing past Jannik Sinner to reach the Wimbledon final for the ninth time.

Djokovic beat the No8 seed 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 to reach the final, where he will play the winner of Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev. The No2 seed was in control throughout and outclassed his 21-year-old opponent to continue his incredible record at Wimbledon.

The 36-year-old was happy to keep the next generation at bay. “It is great to be part of this next generation, I love it,” he said.

“The semi-final was always going to be a very close and tense match. “I think the scoreline doesn’t give the reality of what was happening on the court, it was super close.
