North Korean missile lands closer to South than at any point since 1948

NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

A North Korean missile has landed closer to its neighbour’s territory than ever before as tensions continue to spiral.

The weapon vanished into the sea about 16 miles away from South Korea’s waters, the closest any has come since the two states were divided in 1948.

Air raid sirens sent residents fleeing for underground shelters on some islands amid a volley of 17 missile launches.

Short-range ballistic rockets and surface-to-air-missiles landed off the South’s eastern and western shores this morning.
